A mother and son died after being crushed by the wheels of a truck on their way home from a wedding invitation in Lalmonirhat. The accident took place on Burimari-Lalmonirhat road in Kakina Chapartal area of ​​Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat on Monday (December 25) night.
The deceased mother Rina Begum (26) is the wife of Monir Hossain Babu of Meishamuri area of ​​Kakina Union. Son Raihan Hasan (2) is their only child.
Locals said that father Monir Hossain Babu, mother Rina Begum and son Raihan Hassan were returning home on a motorcycle after being invited to a wedding in Hatibandha of the district. When the motorcycle reached Kakina Chapartal area of ​​Kaliganj upazila, a truck loaded with stones hit it from behind. In this, the driver father Monir Hossain Babu fell on the side of the road along with the motorcycle. And mother Rina along with her son was crushed by the wheel of the truck and died on the spot.
In this regard, Kaliganj police station sub-inspector Al-Amin Haque said that the body was recovered after receiving information. Locals intercepted the truck at the accident site but the driver escaped.
