An old man named Abdul Jabbar Pagla (70) was killed by a tractor driven by a shallow engine in Kaliganj of Lalmonirhat.
The accident took place on Wednesday (November 29) morning in Sukandighi area of ​​Chalbala Union of the upazila.
The deceased Abdul is the son of deceased Gamarddi of Tentulia area of ​​that union. Police and locals said that old Abdul was coming to Sukandighi market on foot.
At that time, a tractor coming from the opposite direction hit him and he was seriously injured. Locals rescued him and took him to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared him dead.
In this regard, Kaliganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Imtiaz Kabir confirmed the truth of the incident.
