Lalmonirhat new Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam said I have not come here to lobby, I have come to work for the welfare of the people, the police cannot take any gratuity to serve the people. He warned of strict measures if something like this happens.

He said these things during an exchange of views with journalists working in the district in the conference room of the office of the Superintendent of Police organized by the district police on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Journalist Gokul Roy, Daily Star Correspondent S Dilip Roy, Yamuna TV Correspondent Anishur Ladla, Bhorer Dak Correspondent Nurul Haque and various print, online and electronic media journalists working in the district were present.
