A discussion meeting was held in Lalmonirhat on the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day ’25 on March 8 under the theme ‘Rights, Equality, Empowerment, Development of Women and Girls’. Deputy Commissioner HM Rakib Haider spoke as the chief guest at the meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday morning.
Deputy Director of the District Women’s Affairs Department Laila Akhter Banu presided over the speeches, while Deputy Director of the District Administration Local Government Rajib Ahsan, Additional Superintendent of Police Fazlul Haque, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) GR Sarwar, Rangpur District President of the Girl Child Advocacy Forum Principal Khandaker Fakhrul Anam Benju, school teacher Sarmin Ara Haque Bithi, Adv. Anjuman Ara Shapla, District Officer of the National Women’s Organization Hossain Ali, etc.
 t the end of the meeting, certificates were awarded to the five best indomitable women selected in various categories in the district in the current financial year for implementing the program titled Indomitable Women Award.
