A human chain has been held in Lalmonirhat to protest the filing of false and conspiratorial cases against the aggrieved editor and publisher of the daily Amar Desh newspaper, Dr. Mahmudur Rahman, and journalists of the newspaper.
The human chain program was held at Mission Mor Square in Lalmonirhat city from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday (April 24).
The speakers present at the human chain immediately called for the withdrawal of the false and conspiratorial cases filed against the aggrieved editor and publisher of the daily Amar Desh newspaper, Dr. Mahmudur Rahman, and journalists of the newspaper.
The human chain organized by Pathak Mela Lalmonirhat District Branch and moderated by Amar Desh Lalmonirhat District Representative Journalist Hasan Ul Aziz was addressed by former General Secretary of Lalmonirhat Press Club and senior journalist Ahmedur Rahman Mukul, senior journalist Md. Lavlu Sheikh, Executive Editor of Saptahik Lalmonir Konth Md. Mofizur Rahman GS Babu, District Representative of Naya Diganta Newspaper Md. Asadul Islam Sabuj, Lalmonirhat District Representative of My TV Mahfuz Saju, Senior Journalist Riazul Islam, President of Pathak Mela and Lecturer of Fulbari College Harun Or Rashid, NGO official Aminul Haque and former Chairman of Palashi Union Golam Mostafa, among others.
