Lalmonirhat Hanging body of woman recovered in Kaliganj

The police recovered the hanging body of a woman named Zohra Begum (38) in Kaliganj of Lalmonirhat.

Her body was recovered from her house in Barajan Malirdhap village of Chalbala Union of the upazila on Saturday (November 25) night. Zohra is the daughter of Zahir Ali of that village.  He was a construction worker by profession.

It is known that Johra, who was abandoned by her husband, was living in a separate house next to her father’s house with one child.  He worked as a construction worker to support the family.

Zohra returned home after finishing work on Saturday.  Neighbors found his hanging body in his house at night.

In this regard, Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC Investigation) Saikat Chandra confirmed the truth of the incident and said that after receiving information, the body was recovered from the scene and sent to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital.  A case of wrongful death (UD) has been registered at Kaliganj police station in this incident.
