SB-Sujon, Lalmonirhat correspondent :  Police arrested 3 people including Chhatra League leader and former vice chairman in case of vandalism of BNP office in Lalmonirhat.  Hatibandha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmudunnabi confirmed this information on Thursday (September 3) morning.
The arrested are Zahedul Islam (30), secretary of that union Chhatra League, son of Ichamul Haque of North Jawarani village of Hatibandha upazila, Anwar Hossain Miru (45), former vice chairman of upazila parishad, Jubo League activist Safiqul Islam (55), son of Omar Ali of Tongbhanga area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatibandha Police Station Mahmudunnabi said that BNP leader Abdul Wahab Mondal filed a case against 250 unidentified people including 54 names in the court regarding the vandalism of Mahendranagar Union BNP office in Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila.  The case was registered at the Sadar police station on September 26 on the orders of the court.  In this case, the accused Chhatra League leader Jahedul Islam, former vice chairman Anwar Hossain Miru and Safiqul Islam were arrested from separate places on the basis of secret information.  In this case of Sadar police station, Hatibandha police station arrested 3 unidentified people among the 54 accused named as Ezahar.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station Omar Farooq said, Hatibandha police station arrested 3 accused for the first time in the case of vandalizing office of Mahendranagar Union BNP in Sadar Upazila.
