At KB Girls School and College in Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat, there was a fire incident in the class room during school hours.  Two classrooms were burnt to ashes due to accidental short circuit during school hours.  The students of the school were scared.  However, no casualty was reported.  After receiving the information, the fire service personnel came and brought the fire under control.

A fire broke out in the sixth class wing of KB Girls’ School and College on Sunday (May 12) afternoon.

According to school sources, a fire broke out in two classrooms of the 6th standard during the tiffin start on Sunday afternoon.  Meanwhile, 10 fans, doors and windows in the two classrooms were burnt to ashes.  After receiving the information, Aditmari Fire Service personnel came and brought the fire under control.

Earlier, seeing the fire in the classroom, the students came out of the school in panic.

Zahurul Haque, assistant principal of KB Girls’ School and College, said that the fire started from a short circuit.  He also said that everything in the two classrooms of the school has been burnt to ashes.  However, he claimed that there were no casualties.

Aditmari Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Mofizul Islam said, after knowing the matter, the head of the institution has been asked to submit a list of damages.
