A three-day district ijtema began at Lalmonirhat.This district Ijtema will end on Saturday with the last prayer. Thursday begins with the Ambayan after the Fajr prayer.
District Ijtema Implementation Committee Sura member Abdul Khalek Master confirmed the matter. Tabligh Jamaat’s mentor and five eminent scholars are speaking in the light of Islamic life rules and religion in this Ijtema. A large number of worshipers will participate in the Ijtema on Friday.
Over a hundred toilets, urinals, showers and ablution facilities have been installed in the Ijtema premises. Besides, the preparation of the main field has been completed for pulling the canopy with bamboo.
Also, a temporary medical camp has been set up with the help of Jamuna Clinic and Lalmonirhat Municipal Mayor Rezaul Karim Swapan to ensure treatment and healthcare for the pilgrims who come for Ijtema.
About 50,000 worshipers from 18 wards of five upazilas and two municipalities of the district are expected to participate in the Ijtema field of Lalmonirhat this time. Besides, devout Muslims following Tabligh Jamaat from various districts of Rangpur Division are participating, said the members of the Ijtema Implementation Committee.
Omar Farooq, OC of Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station, said that in order for the district ijtema to take place smoothly, the procedures have been arranged by talking to the organizers keeping in mind the safety of the ijtema. Taking security of the worshipers seriously, the district has been covered with security blanket.
