Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) VC Professor Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder and Pro-VC Professor Dr. Sobhan Mia has resigned. They submitted their resignations to the chancellor of the university on Monday.
Kuet VC Professor Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder stated in his resignation letter, “I voluntarily resigned from the post of Vice-Chancellor due to personal reasons. In order not to disrupt the activities of the University due to this resignation and until a full-time/Acting Vice-Chancellor is appointed by the President, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department Dr. Muhammad Machud will serve as Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder joined as Vice Chancellor of Kuwait on 1 September 2022
On the other hand, Pro-VC Professor Dr. Sobhan Mia mentioned in his resignation letter that he joined the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology on November 22, 2022. Now I seek relief from the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor due to physical illness and personal reasons.
Meanwhile, Khulna University (Khubi) director of student affairs Prof. Sharif Hasan Limon and 7 assistant director of student affairs resigned on Sunday. Khubi’s acting registrar Professor Khan Gholam Quddus said they have submitted their resignations to him citing personal reasons. Initiatives will be taken to fill these posts soon.
On the other hand, Khulna Collegiate Girls School and KCC Women’s College Principal Professor Md. Touhiduzzaman. He handed over the responsibility to Assistant Professor Rozina Akhter.
