Own Correspondent: Recently, through a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance, Kazi Abdur Rahman has joined Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (Rakab) as Deputy Managing Director. Before assuming his current position, he served as Deputy Managing Director at Agrani Bank PLC, Rupali Bank PLC and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (Rakab). Kazi Abdur Rahman started his career by joining Rupali Bank in 1998 as a senior officer. During his service at Rupali Bank, he served as Branch Head of several branches of the bank; Corporate Branch Head; Principal Branch Head and Zonal Head, as well as Divisional Head of Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka (South). He earned a Master’s degree in Islamic History and Culture from the National University and an MBA degree from Khulna University. He is a Diplomate Associate of the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh. Kazi Abdur Rahman has participated in various trainings, workshops, seminars and symposiums held at home and abroad, including BIBM and Bangladesh Bank. He was born in a respectable Muslim family of Syedamhalla village under Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat district.
