Pirojpur Kaukhali in Police could not rescue the abductee even after 25 days of the abduction of the schoolgirl . In this regard, it is known that Munia Akhtar (15), a ninth grade student of Iron Jaikul MM Secondary School, daughter of Monir Hossain of Iron village of the upazila, went to private school on June 8. On the way home from the private school, in front of the house of the Mullah of the same village, next to the Jame Masjid, 4/5 miscreants, including Masud Rana’s son Swadhin Mullah of the same area, stopped the girl and forcibly took her to an unknown place on an easy bike. After searching for a long time, they could not find him and complained to the police station. On receiving the complaint, the Thana police filed a kidnapping case on June 12 in the name of 5 people including independent Mullah. The girl’s mother complained that the independent mullah used to tease her often while going to and from school and going to private school. The matter was reported to the school authorities and the area member Masud Hossain. Also, when the matter was informed to the parents of Swadhin, they did not pay attention. Rather, when the matter was told to Swadhani’s parents, Swadhani got angry and threatened to kidnap her. As a result, on June 8, Khate Swadhin and his gang kidnapped the girl. In this regard, local UP member Masud Hossain admitted the truth of the incident. Kaukhali Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Humayun Kabir said that a case has been filed and one accused has been arrested. Efforts are on to arrest the remaining accused and rescue the victim.
