News Desk: The government is going to form the July Uprising Directorate. This directorate is being set up under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs to preserve the history and memory of the July Uprising, rehabilitate the families of the martyrs and the injured students and the public, and establish the ideals and spirit of the uprising in state and national life.
On Wednesday (December 18), an inter-ministerial meeting was held in the meeting room of the ministry under the chairmanship of Farooq-e-Azam, Advisor to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. This information was given in a notification by the Ministry of Liberation War.
Representatives from the Cabinet Division, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Finance, Department of Law and Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Public Security, Department of Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Department of Health Services, Department of Health Education and Family Welfare, Department of Local Government, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Ministry of Women and Children Affairs were present at the meeting.
Also present at the meeting were Israt Chowdhury, Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, and senior officials of the ministry.
