Sharifa Begum Shiuli:
Sharmin S. Murshid, Advisor to the Social Welfare Ministry of the Interim Government, distributed checks to the martyrs’ families on behalf of the “Julai Shaheed Smriti Foundation” who were martyred in the 24 movement in Rangpur.
On Saturday (November 16) afternoon at Rangpur District Shilpakala Academy to provide financial support to the martyrs’ families, he said in response to the questions of the journalists.
Sharmin S. Murshid, Advisor to the Social Welfare Ministry of the Interim Government, said that no region was taken into consideration in the appointment of advisers, rather we thought about the country.
Adviser Sharmin S. Murshid said that you should not think regionally in appointing advisers, if you do this then you will be shortchanging yourself. In this case, we have thought about the country and not about the region. Thinking about this region narrows us down. Come out of this place and see our love, see our sincerity. And where we are not able to, why not? Criticize them, we will try to overcome them. I request you not to despair, do not think of territory.
He also said that people should not only be physically rehabilitated, but brought into working life. For this we have to move forward carefully. So that I can involve them in various activities. We will start these works.
He also said that the actual list of those who were martyred in the movement of 24 will be made.
Farida Akhtar, Advisor to the Interim Government on Fisheries and Animal Resources was also present. Earlier at 11 am, they visited the grave of martyr Abu Saeed on July 24 at Pirganj Babanpur village and met his family members.
