Comilla District Laxam BNP convener Abdur Rahman Badal. On November 11 (Monday), a municipal youth party protest march was held on the pretext of insulting two leaders of the youth party.
Abul Kalam and the followers of Mazir Ahmed attacked Abdur Rahman Badal, who was stationed at the rice mail of Alhaj Mazir Ahmed, the convener of Laxam Merchants Association, in front of Mazhir Ahmed. Upazila BNP convener Abdur Rahman Badal sustained serious injuries on his head and eyes in the attack. He was admitted to Laksam Upazila Health Complex in injured condition.
This incident has created a sensation throughout the upazila. Local leaders and activists said that due to the short-sighted leadership of Abul Kalam in Laxam Manoharganj (Comilla-9), the infighting in BNP in Laxam-Manoharganj has reached extreme proportions.
General leaders and workers of BNP in Laksam Manoharganj expressed disappointment in this incident. General leaders and activists demanded justice for those responsible for grouping BNP in Laksam Manoharganj. Laksam Manoharganje called to save the BNP by drawing the attention of the central BNP and expelling the culprits subject to investigation.
Musharraf Hossain Mushu and Sanrasi Safiul, who are known as Abul Kalam’s right hand, are establishing a reign of extortion in Laksam, if anyone speaks against them, Awami and various defamatory words and threats are being unleashed, illegally occupying leases of various markets in Laksam, extorting market in the name of market committee, Awami. The common people of Laksam are losing faith in BNP due to various misdeeds including taking over the business of the leaders of the League. Local BNP leaders and activists say that if no action is taken now, there is a possibility of losing this seat dominated by BNP.
