Jhalkathi Rajapur in closing ceremony of training unemployed youth marginal fishermen on fashion garments was completed

Under the Sustainable Coastal and Marine Fisheries Project, Component-R-3 under the Jhalkathi Rajapur Directorate of Fisheries, the concluding ceremony of the training on fashion garments was held for the skill development of the unemployed youth of marginal fishermen. The trainees are awarded a certificate along with a monetary grant after completing 72 days of training in the fashion garment trade. The training was implemented by Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer’s Office, Rajapur Upazila, Jhalkathi Co-Implementing Organization Social Development Foundation (SDF) and RISDA-Bangladesh with technical support.
Md. Samiul Haque, Regional Coordinator, SDF, SCMF Project, Barisal Region, gave a guest speech to the entrepreneurs at the Risda Institute of Technology Rajapur Upazila Branch Office on Monday afternoon. Md. Mahmudul Hasan Marine Fisheries Officer, Sustainable Coastal and Marine Fisheries Project, Rajapur, Jhalkathi spoke as special guest. Also present were Md Sirajul Regional Officer (Youth Employment) SDF, SCMF Project, Barisal Region, Md Majnu Hossain Regional Officer SDF, Mintu Kumar Das Cluster Officer, SDF, SCMF Project, Rajapur, Jhalkathi.
It is noted that Pallab Biswas Liv Trainer and Sabrina Alam Associate Trainer imparted training to 25 entrepreneurs for skill development of unemployed youth.
