The new committee of Jazira Upazila Press Club of Shariatpur has been announced. The committee was announced at the Jazira Upazila Press Club’s newly formed executive council meeting on Friday (May 10) afternoon at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium in Jazira organized by the Jazira Upazila Press Club.
Daily news representative. A full-fledged committee of 21 members was announced with Palash Khan as the president and Shaun Bepari, Jazeera correspondent of Daily Ajker Darpan, as the general secretary.
Former Jazira Upazila Press Club president Shakhawat Hossain Swapan Khan presided over the event and former general secretary of Jazira Upazila Press Club Nurul Amin Bullet presided over the event.
Shariatpur District Press Club President Babu Anal Kumar Dey was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Shariatpur municipality former mayor Rafiqul Islam Kotwal was also present. Note: Jazira Upazila Press Club was established in 2015 by the initiative of Shariatpur District Representative of the then Shariatpur TV Anwar Hossain Palash and Nurul Amin Bullet. Later the organization came to a standstill as the founder president died. In order to maintain order among the journalists of Jazira Upazila, a new committee was formed on January 23 after the old committee was declared abolished by the initiative of the former president and general secretary.
