Jaldhaka Municipal Budget of Nilphamari for the financial year 2024-25 has been announced. Newly elected municipal mayor Nasib Sadiq Hossain Nova announced the budget of Tk 41 crore 14 lakh 67 thousand 6 hundred 96 at the municipal temporary office on Sunday afternoon. In this year’s budget, the expenditure has been estimated at 40 crore 97 lakh 85 thousand taka.
A surplus of Tk 1 crore 68 lakh 2 thousand 6 hundred and 96 has been kept. Newly elected Upazila Parishad Chairman Anshar Ali Mintu spoke as the chief guest on the occasion. Upazila A. League President Professor Golam Mostafa, police station officer in charge Nazrul Islam Majumdar, brave freedom fighter Abdul Gaffar, former organizing secretary of Upazila League Delwar Hossain, panel mayor Ranjit Kumar Roy, assistant engineer SM Alexander and others spoke. Municipal councilors, journalists and various professional people were present. In the budget ceremony, Mayor Nova urged the citizens to participate in the development of the area by paying regular taxes for the development of the municipality.
