 Sylhet Correspondent : There is no way to understand that he is not a real policeman. But he is a fake cop. People are tired of going to the border if necessary, but did the police wear it without a purpose? Such a question in the public mind.
Some say they were wearing police uniforms to intimidate while demanding money. Others say that he went to extort Mayna from the smugglers in the identity of the police.
One such fake police was detained in Sunamganj Biswambharpur police station. He has been sent to jail through the court on Tuesday.
On Monday, December 2, the members of Machirpur BOP of Sunamganj arrested fake police Bakir Hossain and his motorcycle driver and Tabarak Hossain with a motorcycle on suspicion.
The incident took place at 4 am at Gamairtala near border area 1209/5 S under Dhanpur Union No. 3 of Vishwambharpur, Sunamganj.
According to the local, in the morning, Tabarat Hossain was roaming around the border area with Bakir Hossain wearing police uniform on a motorcycle. As it seemed suspicious at the time, the interrogation of the BGB members proved that Bakir was wearing a police dress.
Naik Junaid Hossain, commander of the BGB patrol team patrolling the border, arrested the fake police and his accomplice and handed them over to Biswambharpur police station.
Detained Bakir Hossain is the son of Abu Chan of North Moksedpur village of Tahirpur upazila. The other is Tabarat Hossain, son of Abdul Malek of Gotila village in the same upazila. Biswambharpur Police OC Kaushar Alam said that regular cases have been registered against them.
When asked about the detention of fake police and accomplices, Sunamganj District Police Superintendent of Police A. F. M. Anwar Hossain PPM said on the phone, we are working with everyone to present Sunamganj in a new form.
The fake police did not protect themselves by wearing police uniforms at the border. It should be understood that the Bangladesh of accountability has been launched. The administration of Sunamganj is working transparently.
