Geography and Environment Department students formed a human chain to demand the comeback of the department name ‘Environment Science and Technology’ on Sunday at the Islamic University.
The human chain program was held in front of the university’s administration building. Earlier, students protested for the same demand on 29 November.
Rahman Hasan Shovon, 2019-2020 academic session, said, “In fascist government era through signature fraud A name change is proposed. We want to reinstate the name in which we were admitted. It is our right.”
 Another student, Abdullah Al Numan Said, “Our demands should be accepted quickly. Otherwise we will be forced to take legal action against the decision of the university authority. If there is any harm to the students in the future, the administration will have to take responsibility for it.”
