Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NOUST) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail said, “The brutal massacre that Israel is carrying out in Palestine must be stopped immediately. We strongly condemn this brutality. May Allah accept those who were killed in Gaza, including children, as martyrs.”
He made these remarks while expressing solidarity with the students at the Nobipravi Shaheed Minar premises today, Monday (April 7, 2025) to protest the Israeli genocide in Palestine.
At the rally, the Nobipravi Vice Chancellor also said, “Everyone has the right to defend their homeland. We cannot accept the way Israel is killing the ordinary people of Palestine using its deadly weapons. Would they accept it if their children were killed like this? Is this killing only because of Muslims? We want Palestine to survive as an independent and free state. At the same time, we demand that those involved in the genocide, including the Israeli president, be brought to justice for crimes against humanity. This oppression and torture must stop immediately. We applaud the young generation for the protest they have organized for the people of Gaza. Through today’s protest, we want to let the whole world know that we are on the side of the people of Gaza. We hope that Allah will accept Palestine as a free state.”
Participating in the rally, Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque said, “Today, protests against the Israeli genocide are taking place all over the world. We must continue this protest. None of us knew that such a big benefit would come from a small movement to the July Movement. Therefore, we must continue the protest, success can come at any time.”
At the rally, Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Hanif said, “The cruelty that Israel is showing in Palestine is very heinous. We strongly protest against it. To stop this massacre by Israel, the unity of world humanity, especially the Muslim world, must be ensured.”
University teachers, students, officials, and employees were present at the rally.
It is worth noting that earlier, in solidarity with the global student boycott of classes and exams in protest of Israel’s barbaric aggression and genocide against the innocent people of Palestine, the Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NOUST) authorities announced the suspension of all classes and exams at the university on Monday (April 7, 2025).
