Mir Abubakkar, the candidate of the Islamic Front Bangladesh in the 12th national parliament election organized a press conference in Laksam against false propaganda. He said in a written statement

Islamic Front Bangladesh nominated candidate for Comilla-9 (Laksam-Manoharganj) Constituency in 18th National Parliament Election I am Mir Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique Islamic Front Bangladesh nominated candidate on 18/12/2023 after getting our registered marka chair symbol. Let’s start working. As part of this, I am continuing my election work through miking, poster, leaflet distribution and public relations.
It has already been noticed by my leaders and workers that some dishonest people are spreading rumors for personal interest that I have been nominated as an agent of some other person for personal interest of another political party which is falsehood and propaganda.
You must be aware that I am Mir Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique and have been doing hospital and other business in Laksam for a long time with reputation.
I am continuing the campaign with the party chair symbol in the twelfth national parliament election with the aim of establishing the society and the state in favor of freedom in the light of Quran and Sunnah with the financial support of myself, my relatives and party well-wishers. People are naturally on my side. If the election is correct, if the voters can go to the polling station smoothly, inshallah my victory is sure.
