Iqbal Hossain was elected as the managing committee president of Deora Secondary School of Comilla’s Barura Upazila.
A meeting was held on Monday morning, February 5, to form the president of Diva Secondary School.
Presiding Officer and Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Saiful Islam presided over it.
At that time, parents representative A: Latif, Ibrahim Khalil Bhuiyan, Moniruzzaman, Md Babul Mia, teacher representative Md Monir Hossain, Md Kamal Hossain, Nipa Rani, reserved women representative Khuki Akter were present.
Parent representative Ibrahim Khalil Bhuiyan proposed the name of Iqbal Hossain as the president. On the other hand, the former chairman of Barura Municipality Mir Mubarak Hossain Abu Riaz Md. Nur Uddin Khandkar proposed the name of Swapan.
Iqbal Hossain was elected as president by getting 9 votes out of 10 votes.
The head teacher of the school Md. Moynal Hossain said the selected school committee members will manage the school for the next two years.
The newly elected president of the managing committee Iqbal Hossain said Deora secondary school is a traditional educational institution of the upazila. My main aim is to improve the quality of education in this school as well as focus on infrastructure development. I express my gratitude to all those who gave me this responsibility. Everyone should pray for me and I wish all the cooperation from everyone.
