A discussion meeting was held at the Laksam Upazila Administration Hall on the occasion of International Women’s Day today, Saturday, March 8, at the initiative of the Laksam Upazila Administration and the Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer’s Office. The presence of female entrepreneurs and female students from various schools and colleges was notable in the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Manasi Pal and was attended by Laksam Upazila Executive Officer and Municipal Administrator Mr. Md. Kausar Hamid as the chief guest. Among others, Upazila Statistics Officer Khandaker Masum Billah, Laksam Press Club Convener Monir Ahmed, Laksam Girls High School Non-Parent Member Nizam Uddin, female entrepreneur Asma Akhter, students Ashfika Khanam, Maimuna Mariam, Nusrat Jahan, Ismat Jahan Palki spoke. Journalists Mashiur Rahman Selim, Shahidul Islam Shahin, Selim Chowdhury Hira, social worker Panna Akhter were present. The program was moderated by Upazila Project Implementation Officer Ahmed Ullah Sabuj.
