International Standard University (ISU) stands by the flood victims. On August 29-31, 2024, for three days, ISU teachers and students delivered food items, clothes and essential items to the people of nearby flood-affected areas including Burichong, Bakshimul, Laksam and Padua Dakshin Para of Nangalkot on behalf of International Standard University.
These food items and essential items are provided with the one day salary of ISU faculty and staff, the esteemed members of the ISU Board of Trustees and the money collected from the students.
ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Under the instructions of Abdul Awal Khan and Treasurer (Acting) H. T. M. With the help of Kader Newaz, the assistant professor of business administration department delivered these food items to 700 families in the affected area to stand by the helpless and victims of the flood. Monirul Hasan Masum, Assistant Professor of Textile Engineering Department Jaglul Haque Mridha, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department Mujibur Rahman Majumder, Deputy Librarian Abu Zafar Md Saifullah, Admission Officer Sharmin Sultana, Golam Rabbani and other students. The Vice-Chancellor thanked God for delivering the relief items quickly.
Professor Mohammad Ali, a teacher of ISU Business Administration Department, said that besides food items for 700 families, 4000 clothes, daily necessities and cooked food were distributed among 3000 people. The teachers and students of International Standard University express their determination to stand by the people in any crisis of the country.
International Standard University thanked the local volunteers for their overall cooperation.
