Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Ministry of Railways Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan said that the last estimated cost of the Padma Bridge project was Tk 32,605,520,000 by the previous government. The cost reduction policy has been tried and the final cost is 30 thousand 770 crore 14 lakh taka. Here about 1 thousand 835 crore rupees have been saved.

He said, 530 crores in the main bridge of the project, 800 crores in river management, 1780 crores in connecting roads and service areas, 500 crores in price reduction, 103 crores in land acquisition and 200 crores in consultation have been saved in total 1835 crores.

He said these things in an exchange meeting with journalists in the conference room of Jazeera Service Area-2 in Shariatpur on Friday (August 30) at 6:30 pm. Earlier he visited Padma Bridge.

Stating that this government is working to gain people’s trust, he said, price compression policy will be followed in every project from now on.

Apart from this, there is no development in areas where there is no MP-minister. As you know, the interim government is a government of people’s expectations. The government of public expectation is not only the expectation of Dhaka, it is the whole country. We want to take the country to real development. The goal of development is service. We want to serve the country.
