Member of Parliament of Moulvibazar-3 constituency and managing director of Olila Group, industrialist Mohammad Zillur Rahman has been nominated as the president of Bangladesh chapter of Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI), one of the top organizations comprising of 140 countries of the world.
On February 2, the founder and chairman of the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. G. D. Sinh, nominated Mohammad Zillur Rahman as the president of the Bangladesh chapter. He is serving as the director of various industrial institutions of the country.
In this regard, the newly appointed President of Bangladesh Chapter of AACCI Mohammad Zillur Rahman MP said – I express my gratitude to all directors, members and well-wishers including the President of AACCI for electing me. As a follower of leader Sheikh Hasina, I express my desire to work to strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global market. Through AACCI, I will present Bangladesh in the court of the world. I will work especially for the improvement of trade relations with other countries with Bangladesh. He said that the Prime Minister’s special initiative is to create an industry-friendly environment. For that purpose, the Asian-African Chamber will work specifically to increase investment in the economic zones established by the Prime Minister. AACCI will work specifically to increase export trade. Through this, international trade relations with the country will increase. Besides, the economic development of Bangladesh is achieved. I will work with different countries of the world to establish the industries of the sector which are not yet established in Bangladesh, so that they invest in Bangladesh. Our Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI) started in 1915. This organization helps the Chamber for the Asian and African regions and their improved economic growth and sustainable business development. We will arrange training for Bangladeshi businessmen at home and abroad.
