Mohammad Sharifuzzaman (Special Correspondent) : Ambassador of Bangladesh Embassy in France Khandaker M. Talha said that the possibility of building a new Bangladesh has been created through the mass uprising of July 2024.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Great Independence and National Day 2025 program organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Paris on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Among the guests at the program, former General Secretary of France BNP MA Taher, community figure Ayub Ali, and member of the Central Diaspora Cell of the National Citizens Committee Ishtiaq Aqib delivered speeches. In addition, expatriate Bangladeshis, leaders and activists of social and political organizations, journalists, cultural figures, and embassy officials and employees spontaneously participated in the program.
At the beginning of the formal discussion, the messages given by His Excellency the President, the Honorable Chief Advisor and the Honorable Foreign Advisor were read out.
The event was conducted by Walid Bin Kashem, First Secretary of the Embassy.
At the beginning of the discussion, Ambassador Khandaker M. Talha paid deep respect to the sacrifice of all the martyrs of the great Liberation War and prayed for the peace of the departed souls of the students who were martyred in July 2024 in the construction of a new Bangladesh.
In his speech, he said that everyone should work together to build a Bangladesh that is anti-discrimination and based on social justice and human dignity, which is the aspiration of the general students.
The Ambassador also said that a vigilant eye should be kept on various conspiratorial activities against the interests of the country to destroy the potential of the new Bangladesh that has been created as a result of the mass uprising of July 2024. At the same time, he encouraged all expatriates to continue sending remittances through legal channels to strengthen the economic foundation of the country.
This morning, Ambassador Khandaker M. Talha hoisted the national flag at the embassy premises and a special prayer was offered with all those present, praying for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs of the Liberation War and for the overall progress and well-being of the country and the nation.
