The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has decided to observe tree planting week from July 8 to 14. In view of this, on Monday, Executive Engineer of Pirojpur Public Works Department Md. Zahurul Islam inaugurated the tree planting program in the Public Works Department of Pirojpur area. Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Nuruzzaman Biswas, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Yusuf Ali, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md Raisul Islam (E/M), Deputy Assistant Engineer Aniruddha Mandal, Deputy Assistant Engineer Papan Karmakar etc.
Sub-Divisional Engineer Sultan Mahmud Shaikat said regarding the tree planting program, since the decision of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works to observe tree planting week has been taken, I sincerely thank and express my gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Housing and Public Works. A total of 600 forest and fruit trees will be planted in the area of various installations constructed by the Public Works Department.
