Inauguration of school milk feeding program was held at Barura, Comilla. Inauguration of this program for primary level students with the funding of Animal Resources and Dairy Development Project (LDDP) organized by Upazila Animal Resources and Veterinary Hospital at Kasedda Government Primary School of Barura Municipality at 10 am on Monday, June 19. Barura Upazila Executive Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa presided over as chief guest. Upazila Parishad Chairman ANM Mainul Islam. Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Nasreen Sultana Tanu, Upazila Education Officer Tariqul Islam, Assistant Education Officer Md. Soleman Bhuia, Ward No. 7 Councilor of Barura Municipality Md. Belal Hossain Billal, School Management Committee President Md. Saiful Islam were present as special guests. Shahidul Haque, fellow school students. Meanwhile, the guests said that we all know that milk is a nutritious food. Today’s event is aimed at ensuring human resource development, social security, nutrition of children and adolescents. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced the creation of Smart Bangladesh by 2041. To build a smart Bangladesh, we need to ensure the nutrition of the people. We all know that health is the root of all happiness, and good health requires nutrition. Milk contains almost all nutrients. Most of the people of our country suffer from malnutrition due to lack of awareness. Many of us do not know which foods contain nutrients. For example, green vegetables, fruits, milk, eggs, moderate amounts of meat, homemade snacks etc. have a lot of nutrients. But we eat too much of market-prepared oily, unhealthy food. It damages our money and health. Children get sick after eating food like chocolate, chips. But if we buy milk and eggs for the children with this money, the health of the child will be good and the child will become intelligent. And these talented children will lead our country in the future. In order to build the smart Bangladesh of honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, it is necessary to build a healthy and talented nation.
