Mohammad Masud Majumder :: The annual Iftar and Doa Mahfil of Comilla’s traditional Barura Sunnia Kamil Madrasa was held. On Saturday, March 15, after Asr, the third floor of the Gausul Azam Bhaban of the madrasa was held in the presence of journalist Md. Ilias Ahmed, the son of the founder of Barura Sunnia Kamil Madrasa, Hazratul Allama Qari Abdul Gafur, and a donor member of the madrasa. The chief guest was Pir Sahib Shah Sufi Allama Khandaker Omar Farooq (M.A.S.) Huzur, the chief guest of Comilla’s traditional Sonarchar Darbar Sharif. The principal of the madrasa, Hazratul Allama Mufti Ali Akbar Farooqui, spoke as the main speaker, while the vice-principal of the madrasa, Hazratul Allama Mufti Mizanur Rahman Jafri, spoke as the special speaker. The special guests present on the day were journalist Md. Abul Hashem, president of Barura Press Club, journalist Mohammad Masud Majumder, assistant professor of Jhalom High School and College, Medhad Uddin, headmaster of Barura Haji Noab Ali Pilot High School, Md. Akhtaruzzaman, regional director of Scout and former senior teacher of Barura Haji Noab Ali Pilot High School, valiant freedom fighter Shamsul Haque Sardar, general secretary of Orai Apanjon social organization and former officer of BCIC Md. Farukul Islam, president of Barura Municipality Islamic Front Maulana Abdul Hannan, doctor Abdul Matin, president of Barura Municipality Islamic Youth Army Hazratul Allama Obaidul Haque Idris, Kazi Mufti Mominullah Bhuiyan. Guardians of Barura Sunnia Kamil Madrasa, donor members, teachers, journalists, and representatives of civil society, along with people from different walks of life were present. At the end of the discussion, the prayers and supplications were led by Pir Sahib Allama Shah Khandaker Omar Faruk (AS) Huzur of Sonarchar Darbar Sharif.
