Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “If I don’t need a guard at home, if I don’t need a guard at my mosque, why would the Hindu brothers need a guard at the temple?” he asked. We do not want such discrimination. We want our children’s anti-discrimination movement to end all discrimination.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dinajpur North District Branch at Dinajpur Institute ground on Monday (September 2, 2024) morning.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also said that this movement is not of any group or party, this movement is the movement of people. People took to the streets and made this movement successful. People of a particular religion didn’t just fight here either. If someone wants to use this movement of the people for their own interests, then again the 18 crore people of the country will stop it. Of course, we will guard the success of this revolution, this change, this movement, which has been achieved at the cost of thousands of lives. This nation will not tolerate any kind of insult.

Jamaat Amir said, We want such a country, such a world, in which people of all religions will live in peace, regardless of caste, party, religion. As a citizen of this country, wherever you go in the country and abroad, you will proudly say that I am a citizen of Bangladesh. Here there will be no need to guard the places of worship of any religious community on special occasions. Because here everyone is a citizen of Bangladesh by birth. Let Bangladesh become a non-discrimination country. We want a nation that can be proud of us.
