If Awami League is in power, people will be safe, elections will be based on constitution: Amu

14 party spokesperson and coordinator Amir Hossain Amu said that when Awami League is in power, people of all religions live in coexistence maintaining communal harmony and celebrate religious festivals. This government is always aware of the issue of tolerance. When Awami League is in power, people are safe, so Awami League will participate in the next elections with the support of everyone. And that election will be based on the constitution.
He said these things during the Janmashtami discussion meeting at Madan Mohan Akhrabari temple premises in Jhalkathi on Wednesday afternoon. Amir Hossain Amu said, ‘Today they are supporting BNP by talking about fair elections. The current government will not conduct any election outside the constitution. Whatever happens must be done according to the constitution.’
He also said, ‘If Awami League is in power, people will be safe. Therefore, this senior leader of the party has called to bring Awami League to power by voting again in the next election.
Madan Mohan Akhrabari temple president Tapan Roy Chowdhury presided over the event as special guests were Deputy Commissioner Farah Gul Nijhum, Superintendent of Police Afruzul Haque Tutul, District Awami League President Sardar Md. Shah Alam, District Council Chairman Advocate Khan Saifullah Panir, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Khan Arifur Rahman, District Puja Celebration Committee President Professor Asim Kumar Saha and General Secretary Tarun Karmakar. Hindu religious leaders addressed the event.
