Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that all those injured in the recent violence surrounding the quota reform movement will be provided with proper medical care. He said, those who are injured, they will be provided with artificial limbs. At that time, he said in a tearful voice that he does not want his mother’s arms to be empty like this.
On Saturday (July 27), the Prime Minister visited the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in the capital to see the injured in the violence surrounding the quota reform movement. He said these things to the journalists after visiting the injured there. The Awami League president also questioned who is responsible for the loss of lives of so many people in the movement.
Sheikh Hasina said, such sabotage has been carried out to paralyze the country’s economy and turn it into a nation of beggars. At this time, he wants justice for this violence from the countrymen. He said, I know the pain of losing parents. I am going back to my country with that pain and working for the people. I have no desire here. I have not done anything for my son or daughter.
The prime minister said, what crime have I committed? I am working to improve people’s destiny. I have improved people’s quality of life. He said, Bangladesh of 2024 and Bangladesh of 2008 are not the same today. Again asking the question, is it my fault that I tried to improve people’s living standards?
Bangabandhu’s daughter said, when I came to the government, this hospital did not even have an elevator. It is possible to treat so many people because we have developed so much.
