A human chain and protest rally was held in front of Galachipa Upazila Executive Officer’s office in the presence of Galachipa Upazila Press Club of Patuakhali and all media workers in protest against the brutal killing of Golam Rabbani Naheed, an honest and fearless journalist of Jamalpur’s Bakshiganj, and demanding maximum punishment.
Press club president and third dimension, representative of Khabar Patra newspaper M. Khalid Hossain Milton, representative and general editor of Mohana Television and Yugantar newspaper Sohag Rahman, representative of Kaler Kanth newspaper, Saimun Rahman Elite, Bangladesh Alo newspaper, Md. Farhad spoke at the human chain and protest rally. Hossain Babu, Ripon Biswas of GTV and Navchetna newspaper, Md Hafiz of Bhorer Pata newspaper, Mazharul Islam Molly of Desh Bangla newspaper, Mithun Pal of Ganakantha newspaper, Shishir Hawladar of Banga TV and Barisal Time newspaper, among others participated in the protest and human chain.
 Also the local freedom fighters of the freedom fighters, Sudhi Samaj, participated in this human bond. In the protest rally, the press club president said that on the night of June 14, journalist Golam Rabbani Naheed died on June 16 while being treated at the hospital in a surprise attack by terrorist forces on the orders of Sadhupara UP Chairman Mahmudul Alam Babu on his way home after performing his professional duties. All the journalists of Galachipa Upazila express their condolences to the bereaved family of journalist Golam Rabbani Naheed.
In protest of this murder, he demanded that everyone including the masterminds of the terrorists be brought under the law as soon as possible and the maximum punishment be arrested and all the criminals be arrested and strongly demanded from the government for exemplary punishment and hanging.
