Devotees of the Sanatan Hindu community took out a human chain protest in Brahmanbaria to protest against the lease of the land occupied by Shree Sri Kaivalyabhum Ashram in East Paikpara of Brahmanbaria city. This human chain was held in front of Brahmanbaria Press Club after the protest march today at 11:30 am on Saturday. Thousands of men and women participated in it. The agitating people of Sanatan Hindu community, who participated in the human chain and protest march, claimed that Phulurani Roy, a resident of Shri Kaibalyabhoom Ashram and Ram Tagore Temple, was living on lease of the property assigned by the District Commissioner. Later Phulu Rani gave her leased land to the temple as the site of the temple was not available. Later, the temple authority applied to the District Commissioner according to the legal rules to take the place of Phulu Rani in the name of the temple. But the District Commissioner ignored the request of the temple authorities on February 7 of the temple The occupied space was re-leased to the neighbor Anil Mallick. Since then, thousands of men and women of Sanatan Dharma have become angry. They held area-based meetings. Later this morning, they organized a protest procession and human chain in Brahmanbaria town to return the site of the temple to the temple. Sujan Datta, National Member of Puja Udyapan Parishad, who participated in the Human Bandhan, said that Phulu Rani Mallik, the owner of the 4th century land of Sri Kaibalyabhoom Ashram in East Paikpara of Brahmanbaria city, donated the land to the temple and the land was occupied by the temple. This place was leased by Brahmanbaria District Commissioner to a person without considering the temple and public interest. We want the lease to be canceled and the temple site returned to the temple. Another devotee named Gauri Rani Roy said, “We need the adjacent place as our temple space is not contiguous.” We will protest until we get this place will go We have to give back our place at any cost. Shilpi Banik, another devotee, said that the place which was in the name of the temple has been leased by a nearby man. We want our temple site back.

Phulurani, who had previously taken the lease from the District Commissioner, said, “I have given this place to Ramthakur Temple because of the oppression of my neighbors.” No one can legally cut my lease. Now the District Commissioner cut off my lease and gave it to someone else. It was not right for the District Commissioner to give the lease to someone else before the expiry of my lease period. Ranjan Chowdhury, President of Sri Sri Kaibalyabhum Ashram, said that the Divisional Commissioner had sent a letter on January 30. Since receiving this letter, the activities of evil forces have increased. They completed everything within 2-7 days and allotted in the name of third person. Which is not legal. Because we applied for this place. We have not been contacted. We think this is a reflection of anti-temple power. We want our temple site to be named after the temple. President of Brahmanbaria District Puja Udpan Parishad Somesh Ranjan Roy said that the lease of the place has been given in the name of the oppressors to whom Phulu Rani Roy gave the place in the name of the temple in her last years. The place was occupied by the temple. Moreover, there is no place for social gatherings or anti-drug meetings in the East Pike neighborhood. Those meetings were held in this temple. What the District Commissioner did against the temple was not right. Tiri warned that if the site of the temple is not explained to the temple within the next 15 days, there will be a large movement. Officer-in-charge of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station, Muhammad Emranul Islam, said that the common people of the Hindu community have human chained here by leasing the place of the temple. Police have been deployed to maintain law and order in the human chain. We will inform our higher authorities about their demands.
