CO Office of Pirojpur organized a human chain to demand the unconditional withdrawal of the case filed by the Awami government against the editor of “Dainik Amar Desh” newspaper Mahamudur Rahman and the urgent publication of the newspaper. Saturday, September 7 at 11:30 am at the initiative of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union and civil society at Pirojpur CO office. This human chain was organized. People from different professions participated in the said human chain under the chairmanship of SM Sohel Billah Kajol, President of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union, and Mohshahin Fakir, Treasurer of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union. General Secretary SM Abu Zafar, Organizing Secretary of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union Md Mainul Islam Mamun, President of Pirojpur Journalist Union Zubair Al Mamun, General Secretary of Journalist Union Md. Nasir Uddin, Vice President of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union Md Humaun Kabir Talukdar, Pirojpur Model Journalist Union Office Secretary MA Naqib Nasrullah, President of Pirojpur District Jass Md. Zahidul Islam, Vice President of Pirojpur District Chhatra Dal. Pirojpur District Chhatra Dal’s Organizing Secretary Md. Salauddin Talukder Kumar, Pirojpur Municipal Volunteers’ Convener Md. Masud Hawladar, Office Secretary of Pirojpur District Chhatra Dal were also present Rahman , Vice President of Pirojpur Model Journalist Union Md. Shahadat Hossain and others. At this time the speakers said that Mahmudur Rahman, the spokesperson of mass people’s journalism protesting the injustice of the fascist Hasina government, was attacked and bloodied by Hasina’s beloved forces in the court premises. They demanded the withdrawal of all false cases against Mahmudur Rahman along with the trial of those attackers and the publication of Dainik Amar Desh newspaper and speedy trial of the journalist couple Sagar-Rumi’s murder.
