A human chain program was held on Saturday to demand the implementation of the Prime Minister’s instructions regarding the launch of new trains from Brahmanbaria railway station, stoppage of trains plying on various routes and increase in tickets with seats. Anger was expressed from the program as the instructions of the Prime Minister were not implemented even in the last four months. At this time caution was issued that larger programs would be given if needed. Around 12 o’clock in the morning, people from various professions participated in the human chain in front of the Brahmanbaria Press Club. Under the chairmanship of Citizen Forum President Piyush Kanti Acharya, freedom fighter Wachel Siddiqui, freedom fighter Ratan Kanti Dutta, freedom fighter Abu Horairah, General Secretary of Hindu Buddhist Unity Parishad Pradyut Nag, Journalist Union President Deepak Chowdhury Bappi, Vice President of Citizen Forum Ataur Rahman spoke in it. Shaheen, Ujjal Chakraborty, Habibur Rahman Parvez etc. The speakers in the human chain said, “When some reasonable demands of the people of Brahmanbaria reached the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner, he agreed and instructed the Ministry of Railways to take necessary measures.” But the necessary steps in this regard are not visible even in the last four months. If action is not taken within the next 15 days, then the railway will be blocked.
