UNO Sheikh Russell has committed a great injustice by punishing a person without conducting an investigation. He cannot punish if the incident does not occur before the Executive Magistrate. By taking the testimony of workers and corrupt officials and punishing them, he has taken a stand in favor of corruption.
During this time, the speakers demanded the release of journalist Tipu and the withdrawal of Tala Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sheikh Russell. Otherwise, a sit-in program was announced in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Thursday.
Incidentally, on Tuesday (April 22), the upazila correspondent of the daily Kaler Kantho newspaper, Rokonuzzaman Tipu, was sentenced to 10 days in prison for seeking information on the construction of the Tala Upazila Parishad Complex building in Satkhira!
Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Sheikh Md. Russell.
