A human chain was organized by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and locals in Laksam, Comilla on Tuesday demanding withdrawal of the transfer order of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kausar Hamid.
The speakers at the human chain held in front of the Upazila Parishad said that after joining Laksam after August 5, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kausar Hamid became very popular among the people through his administrative work in a short time.
A group is trying to achieve its evil purpose by transferring him by deceiving him by pretending to be a secretary.
The people of Laksam, including us, are demanding withdrawal of the transfer order of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kausar Hamid.
Student representatives Mejbah Uddin Siam, Abdul Qayyum Rifat, Minhajul Islam, Matiur Rahman, former student leaders Abul Kashem, Zahidul Islam, and others participated in the human chain.
Speakers in the human chain threatened to announce a strict action plan if the transfer order of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Kausar Hamid is not withdrawn.
People from different classes and professions of Laksam are also vocal about the withdrawal of this transfer order.
