Human chain and rally on World No Tobacco Day organized by Dhaka Ahsania Mission in Dinajpur

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, Ahsania Mission has taken the initiative of human chain and rally in 30 districts keeping in mind the theme “Grow food, not tobacco”. In continuation of this, human chain and rally were held in Dinajpur district. MSM, MSW-Hijra Project Sub DIC Incharge Md. Jahangir Alam and FSW Outlet Manager Reema Nandi led the human chain and rally organized by Health Sector, Dhaka Ahsania Mission-Dinajpur in front of Dinajpur District Commissioner office on Wednesday 31st May 2023 at 11 am. The theme of this year’s World Health Organization is ‘Grow Food, Not Tobacco’ to raise awareness of alternative crop production and marketing opportunities for tobacco farmers and to encourage them to grow sustainable, nutritious crops and to create awareness at the public and policy-making levels about ensuring food security. ‘ Which Bengali meaning is – grow food, not tobacco. Note that World No Tobacco Day was launched in 1987 by the member states of the World Health Organization (WHO). The day is celebrated around the world on 31st May every year.
