International Desk : People celebrate in the streets of Tehran after Iran’s missile attack on Israel. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran had made a big mistake and the country must pay for it.

Israel’s allies, particularly the United States, have said their full support for Israel will continue. The United Nations and the European Union have called for a ceasefire. The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on Wednesday regarding the tension in the Middle East. Iran says that if Israel retaliates, it will launch missile attacks on all Israeli infrastructure.

Analysts say Israel’s international allies urged the country to be patient after Iran launched a missile attack last April, which is unlikely to happen this time.

Avi Melamed, a former Israeli intelligence official, said the Iranian attack was to provoke Israel into a major counter-attack … We will see a significant and immediate Israeli response to Iranian targets.

How can Israel’s revenge?

Israel will have a long-standing plan to attack Iran. Its defense chief will now review when and how to strike the Islamic Republic.

Among these will be the inevitable military targets on the ground, from which Tuesday’s missile attack took place.

So not only the place where the missile is kept for firing, but also the command and control center and even the refueling center will be covered.

Israel may increase intelligence activities within Iran against those who ordered the missile strikes against Israel and those who carried them out. If the country wants to do more, they can target Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Whichever way Israel chooses, an Iranian counterattack will become inevitable, locking the two countries into a perpetual cycle of attack and retaliation.

This time it’s not a secret anymore

Israel will be tempted to attack with much more force than it did in response to Iran’s attack last April.

At that time, despite international efforts to prevent Israel from using excessive force, after the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iran launched about three hundred missiles and drones targeting Israel.

In the final phase, Israel carried out a small but symbolic attack near Iran’s nuclear facilities. The damage was less. But they showed Iran where Israeli forces could reach if they wanted to.

Maybe the situation will be different this time. Just as Iran feels it must respond to the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah a few days ago, Israel will not remain silent about Iran’s direct attack.

In that case, Israel’s targets could range from Iran’s nuclear facilities, the site of Tuesday’s missile attack, or missile stockpiles and launches, to even Revolutionary Guard bases.
