The Hossainpur Progressive Platform, Ward No. 5, South Khoshbas Union No. 4, Barura Upazila, Comilla, has been launched with the aim of expanding education for rural students, ensuring good medical treatment for the helpless and poor, and establishing a drug-free society through reading books.

The voluntary organization ‘Hosseinpur Progressive Platform’ made its debut by providing educational materials to 32 SSC examinees.
The chief guest of the event was Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nu-Mong Marma Mong. The special guests were Ahmed Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Barura. Kazi Nazmul Haque, Officer-in-Charge, Barura Police Station. Khairul Ahsan Manik, District Representative, ATN News, ATN Bangla. Mohiuddin Molla, District Representative, Bangladesh Pratidin. The president was Mustafa Kamal, former member, Hossainpur. Also present were educationist and social worker Gazi Wahidul Islam, Professor Delwar Hossain Khokon, Yunus Sardar, Khokon Bender, Member Akhter Hossain Shahin, Maulvi Abdul Malek, Professor Hossain Abedin, Golam Jilani and other prominent figures of the village.
The program was hosted by Emdadul Haque Ripon and Dr. Adib. Nahid Jahangir Dipu and Morshed Alam Pabel delivered the welcome speech on behalf of the organization. Md. Ilias Hossain read the objectives of the program. The guests were welcomed with flowers at the program: volunteers of the organization, Ed. Ujbal Hossain Rubel, Arif Hossain, Zahidul Islam, Iman Hossain, Habibul Bashar, Md. Sabbir Hossain, Nadimul Islam Jewel. Kusum Koli, Jannatul Ferdaus and Khodeja Akhter were present.
The chief guest of the event, Nu-Mong Marma Mong, said, “It is important for our children to become good people before they become good students. In particular, they need to practice manners and moral education. They need to know what an ideal student does. If we want to improve our society, we need to move our children towards good education.”
The Hossainpur Progressive Platform will work towards that goal. This platform will act as a beacon of light for society. It will spread light among everyone. It will build a drug-free society through reading books. It will work towards making Hossainpur village an ideal village.
As the Upazila Executive Officer, I will provide as much support as possible to this platform.
