Highway Police Coordination Meeting to Keep Highways Safe and Traffic-Free in Gazipur

A Highway Police Coordination Meeting was held in Konabari, Gazipur, to keep highways safe and traffic-free during the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid.

This coordination meeting was held in front of Naojor Highway Police Station on Thursday (March 6) afternoon at the initiative of the Gazipur Region of Highway Police.

The coordination meeting was chaired by Assistant Superintendent of Police Abu Hasan Mia of Highway Police Gazipur Circle and chaired by Additional DIG (Promoted) of Police Gazipur Region Dr. A. K. M. Akhtaruzzaman Basunia. Highway Police DIG (Operations North) Imtiaz Ahmed (BPM, PPM) was present as the chief guest. Additional DIG (Operations North) of Highway Police Md. Shamsul Alam was present as the special guest. In the coordination meeting, Highway Police DIG Imtiaz Ahmed gave various directions to keep the highway safe and free from traffic on the occasion of Eid. Also present at the coordination meeting were Abbas Uddin, Vice President of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Union, Humayun Kabir Khan, General Secretary of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Union, Mustafiz Amin, General Secretary of Verab Committee Police, along with officers of various units of Highway Police and leaders of Transport Owners Association.
