Switzerland’s ambassador to Bangladesh, Reto Ringli, thinks that everyone has a lot of expectations from the interim government.
He said, “Switzerland wants to sincerely cooperate with Bangladesh in the current context. If the local government system and health care at the grass root level in Bangladesh is strengthened, it will bring benefits to the people of Bangladesh.
Reto Ringli held a meeting with Health and Family Welfare Advisor Nurjahan Begum on Wednesday (August 28). He said these things at the time.
The health adviser told the ambassador that many students were injured in the recent mass uprising. Many have lost their eyesight, have received paralysis. The Ministry of Health is working on proper treatment of the injured and reform and decentralization of the health sector.
During the meeting, the Ambassador was apprised of the work of the Health Department in the recent flood situation.
Ambassador of Switzerland said, everyone has high expectations from this interim government. Bangladesh has immense potential in various fields including IT sector.
He also said that Switzerland and Bangladesh have had bilateral relations for more than 50 years. This bilateral relationship and support of Switzerland with Bangladesh will continue.
Nargis Khanom, Additional Secretary of Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health, was present at this time.
