Head of Interim Government returns home after visit

Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has returned home after a four-day visit to Switzerland.

The flight carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport via Dubai at 5:07 pm on Saturday (January 25).

Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Abul Kalam Azad Majumder confirmed this information.

The Chief Advisor left Dhaka on Monday (January 20) night to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

The Chief Advisor arrived at Zurich Airport at 5:25 pm local time on Tuesday (January 21). Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to Switzerland Tariq Mohammad Ariful Islam welcomed him.

During his visit to Switzerland, he participated in half a dozen meetings with important people, including heads of state of various countries.

Of these meetings, four were with heads of government and state, four with ministerial-level dignitaries, 10 with heads or top executives of the United Nations or similar organizations, 10 with CEOs or high-level business people, 9 events organized by the WEF (four of which were formal dinners and lunches), eight media appearances, and two other events.
