Demra, Awami League leaders have been accused of showing Jamaat-Shibir to harass their opponents. In this regard, the victim, Md. Masud Mia, Home Secretary, Private Secretary of the Prime Minister, Secretary of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, DMP Commissioner, sought relief from the harassment case. The President/General Secretary of Jatiya Sramik League has applied to the Officer-in-Charge of Demra Police Station.
The victim Md. Masud Mia is working as a postal operator in Dhaka GPO. Permanent address in Matuail Majhpara area of Jatrabari Police Station, currently residing in Badsha Mia Road New Town area under Demra Police Station.
The victim Md. Masud Mia said, I am an employee of Bangladesh Postal Department, working in Dhaka GPO, serving as General Secretary of GPO office of Reg. No.-B 2129, belonging to Jatiya Sramik League, also as member No. 1 of Greater Matuail Union Jubo League, I was in the main committee, Dhaka city. I am the vice-president of the unit committee under Ward No. 63 of South Awami League, building construction is going on on my ancestral property at Badsha Mia Road, Demra Police Station, there are Shakhawat Hossain Masud, Abul Kashem, Md Asadullah (Asad), Mohammad Saiful, Abdul Sattar and others. Some people came and demanded 3 lakh rupees from me a few days ago, I approached the then OC of Demra police station and offered to do GD, but he rejected the matter, later I came to know that Sakhawat Hossain Masood was the plaintiff in Demra police station 29(5) ) In case No. 23 I have been made accused No. 14 and my brother No. 15, which I am shocked to hear, I am a devout Muslim man keeping a cap and beard on my head following the command of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet, miscreants have made issue of that issue and made Jamaat Shibir leader next to my name. gave

Talking about this matter, Demra police station officer-in-charge (OC) Zahirul Islam said, I am not aware of the matter, I will look into the matter after finding out the case number.
