The family of Abdul Hannan of Uttar Namapara village in Trishal, Mymensingh is fleeing in fear of terrorist Sagar. After being attacked by terrorists and filing a complaint with the police station, they have become more disorderly and are threatening widely.
According to the complaint of Trishal Police Station, Abdul Hannan (34), father-Nur Mohammad, Sang-Trishal Uttar Namapara Ward No. 1 (Trishal Municipality), Police Station-Trishal, District-Mymensingh appeared at the police station and filed a written complaint stating that the defendants are 1. Mostafizur Rahman Sagar (30), 2. Fahim (22), both fathers-Mofizul Islam, 3. Hafiza Khatun (52), husband-Mofizul Islam, 4. Mofizul Islam (55), father-Noor Mohammad, Sarb Sang-Trishal Uttar Shamiami- Mofing Ward (Trishal Municipality), Thana-Trishal, District-Mymensingh, I am filing a complaint against the defendants No. 1 and 2 who are my nephews, No. 3 defendant my sister-in-law and No. 4 defendant my brother-in-law. The defendants have been threatening and intimidating us in various ways over various family matters. Focusing on a quarrel between small children, the defendants on 07/01/2025 at approximately 01.30 pm in a pre-planned manner entered the courtyard of my house in Uttar Namapara Sakin under Trishal Police Station and attacked me and my wife Umme Salma unexpectedly. Defendant No. 1 Mostafizur Rahman Sagar hit me on the front of my head with a bamboo stick in his hand and defendant No. 2 Fahim hit me on the back with a bamboo stick in his hand, causing bruises and painful injuries. Defendant No. 1 Mostafizur Rahman Sagar tried to strangle me by holding my throat and tried to kill me and defendant No. 2 Fahim pulled off my lungi and completely stripped me naked and sexually assaulted me. When my wife Umm Salma saw this incident, the defendants beat my wife indiscriminately and injured her in various parts of her body. Defendant No. 3 Hafiza Khatun grabbed my wife by the hair and clothes and sexually assaulted her by snatching money. Hearing the screams and seeing the incident, the people in the house and the surrounding area went ahead and returned, the defendants threatened to kill and injure me and my wife Umme Salma. After this incident, the 4th defendant ordered the other defendants on the mobile phone, “Kill Hannan and his wife, I will take care of everything.” As soon as the order was received, the 1st and 2nd defendants came out of their house with sharp knives and daggers and tried to attack me, but the people in our house and the surrounding area sent them back. Otherwise, the defendants would have killed me and my wife Umme Salma. After the incident, my wife and I sought treatment at the Trishal Upazila Health Complex.
In this situation, the defendants are also threatening that if they find me in Trishal market, the defendants will get people they know and beat me up again. There was a delay in filing a complaint based on collective opinion after informing the family members and prominent people of the area about the incident.
Regarding the complaint, Trishal Police Station SI Abu Taleb Mia said that the complaint has been received and necessary action will be taken after a prompt investigation.
