The Reb has recovered several locally made guns and bullets by digging in the ground in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. Senior Assistant Director (Law and Media) of Reb-15 Cox’s Bazar Battalion and Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Kamruzzaman said that the operation was carried out in the Barabil area of ​​Gorjania Union of Ramu Upazila on Monday midnight. However, it was not possible to arrest anyone as the members of the organized criminal gang fled after sensing the presence of Reb members at the scene during the operation, he said.

Kamruzzaman said that the Reb received information that members of the organized criminal gang were storing several locally made weapons underground in the Barabil area of ​​Gorjania Union of Ramu on Monday midnight. Later, a team of Reb conducted an operation. At one stage of the search, a suspicious place was found buried in the ground. Later, a plastic drum was found after removing the soil from the scene. The lid of the dumpster was opened and 5 locally made guns, 11 bullets, 24 bullet shells and 3 weapon parts were recovered.

The media officer of the RAB said that the investigation of the RAB is continuing to find out who collected the recovered weapons, how they were collected and for what purpose they were stored. The recovered weapons have been handed over to Ramu Police Station, said Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Kamruzzaman.
