The Executive Council of Greater Chittagong Samity-Gazipur has formed a full committee for the 2025-2026 term.
The 35-member committee has been formed with Shin Shin Group Chairman Mohammad Sohel Sadat as the president and Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) Senior Scientific Officer Dr. Debjit Roy as the general secretary.
The committee was formed unanimously at the general meeting of the association held recently.
The other members of the two-year committee are: Vice President-1 and Deputy Managing Director of Noman Group and Managing Director of Nice Denim Nur-e-Yasmin Fatema, Vice President-2 M Mahfuzur Rahman, Vice President-3 Sarwar Zaman, Vice President-4 Prabir Kumar Saha, Vice General Secretary-1 Md. Shahjahan, Vice General Secretary-2 Ahmed Hossain, Finance Secretary Md. Shahnewaz Tanvir, Organizing Secretary Engineer Mohammad Fakhrul Islam, Publicity and Publication Secretary Muhammad Abu Taher, Education and Library Secretary Md. Nazim Hossain, Literature and Seminar Secretary Mustafa Iqbal Chowdhury Mukul, Sports Secretary Mohammad Shahnewaz, Cultural Secretary Britan Chowdhury, Office Secretary Mohammad Yusuf Ali, Health and Social Welfare Secretary Mohammad Humayunur Rashid, Women and Children Affairs Secretary Kamrun Nahar Tanzina.
The following are the executive members: 1. Kazi Mozammel Haque, 2. Shimul Barua, 3. Md. Manjurul Alam, 4. Md. Jasim Uddin, 5. Alauddin Ahmed Russell, 6. Arafat Sagar, 7. Md. Ejazul Haque, 8. Md. Chanaullah Chowdhury, 9. Md. Rezaul Karim, 10. Md. Azizul Haque, 11. Md. Elias, 12. Md. Ekramul Haque Bhuiyan, 13. Md. Shamimul Hasan, 14. Md. Niazuddin, 15. Md. Mofizuddin, 16. Pintu Das, 17. Syed Abu Solaiman.
Later, the inauguration ceremony was held at the Radhuni Convention Center in Board Bazar, Gazipur, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. SM Mizanur Rahman, Chairman of the Election Commission of Greater Chittagong Samity-Gazipur, and conducted by Election Commissioner Member Dr. Faridul Alam.
At that time, the newly elected President of the Executive Council of Greater Chittagong Samity-Gazipur Mohammad Sohel Sadat and General Secretary Dr. Debjit Roy and other elected members of various posts were present.
In addition, the program was also attended by former President and former Inspector General of Registration (Senior District and Sessions Judge) Md. Shahidul Alam Jhinuk, President of the Advisory Council and Managing Director of Fends Style War Limited Alhaj A. M. Mahmudur Rahman, former President and Chairman of JCL Group and Managing Director of Fashion Flas Limited Helal Uddin Ahmed and General Secretary of Duet Student Forum Chittagong (Gangchil) Maimul Hasan.
Former President Md. Shahidul Alam Jhinuk administered the oath to the newly elected members of the Executive Council of Greater Chittagong Samity-Gazipur.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman of the Chief Election Commission Professor Dr. S. M. Mizanur Rahman, Election Commissioner Dr. Faridul Alam and Ratan Mallick were presented with crests by the association.
